Frankie was e'er i of united states of america.
She--and that was an important word here--was reclaimed ages ago, if not before, then certainly the moment I get-go laid eyes on her, quondam before I even understood who I was or who she was, when she was some genderfucking Tim Back-scratch, the elemental form of the depraved bisexual. At that instant, she became a trans goddess. When I heard they had bandage Laverne Cox in this role, I was happy to hear she was getting a great role and that the role was going to someone who deserved…

I'm the most open up-minded, non-remake hating person imaginable. I take everything at face up value and try not to compare it to original work. That said, this is still garbage from superlative to bottom. Half the bandage is terrible and the other one-half never gets to properly shine when they might actually be decent.
The set blueprint is boring and cheap, the reorchestrated music is fucking bottomless, and at the end of this I just wanted to exist expressionless. Instead I'm just going to watch a superior follow-up to the original Rocky Horror: Shock Treatment.
Let usa never speak of this again.

Oh good god this is a rancid middle school cafeteria chocolate milk carton, isn't it?
The point of Rocky Horror is to mimic the energy of the cumstain on the couch in a theater dressing room. No one can sing, no one is sober, there's nip slips and cleaved props, and everyone has a grand ole fourth dimension. This is high school snoozical with a pride flag in the corner.
Casting Laverne Cox to play a classy femme, post transition version of Frank n Furter is antonymous to the grapheme. A character that is born out of a desire for femininity retains the words of those longings, but instead exists as a medically transitioned Hollywood idea of transness. The lyrics of…

Absolutely awful. Kenny Ortega has absolutely no clue what made the original so magical. I go that this is a fabricated for TV production, but still, why does everything take to be shot in hideous wides? It looks like a Tv set studio sitcom instead of a movie. Part of what made the original so great was the crazy and creative camerawork. This stupid remake pays nix attending to how skillful cinematography and editing services/heightens comedy, tension, and sexual innuendo. The original motion-picture show had insane zooms, wild use of handheld, and overall actually well composed shots that bring the world to life.
The production blueprint is as uncreative as ever; flashing colored lights during songs and boring, lifeless sets. It just…
